This presentation will explain what leaders can do to build diversity and inclusion by digging into our two most basic human needs: to be unique and to belong. Dr. Stefanie K Johnson will examine some of the challenges and opportunities for businesses to create more diverse and inclusive environments following the Black Lives Matter movement and the Coronavirus pandemic. Finally, she will explore the issue of performative versus authentic diversity and inclusion efforts to identify what works and what is just for show.
