In this live coaching demonstration, Patricia brings the ICF Core Competencies to life through the subtle yet powerful dynamics of silence and energy. The session explores how spaciousness in coaching—through intentional pauses and energetic attunement—can open deeper levels of awareness and insight for the client. Rather than rushing to solve or speak, Patricia demonstrates how silence and playback can effectively and respectfully move the energy, allowing the client to process and delve deeper. She highlights the importance of sensing and listening for the client’s values, emotions, and beliefs.

Patricia believes energy is the new edge and witnesses its power in coaching. This is supported by her advanced energy training with Tony Latimer, bringing energy into coaching to reach the highest levels of mastery. Patricia embodies the principle of connecting energetically with the client—trusting the process, the client, and the moment—while maintaining a calm, grounded presence. About the Speaker: Patricia A Risch, M.Ed., MCC

Patricia describes herself as an edgewalker—crossing cultural boundaries, responding to global crises, and exploring the energetic and quantum dimensions of coaching. She walks between the physical and non-physical, the seen and unseen, conventional and visionary, always oriented toward what is emerging. While living in Islamabad, Pakistan, she experienced the impact of Al-Qaeda’s 1998 bombings of the US Embassies in East Africa, as well as the 9/11 attacks, while living in Amman, Jordan. After this tumult, she relocated to Zürich, Switzerland, where she began coach training in 2003.

Patricia coaches U.S. government employees across all levels and agencies, as well as private-sector and international clients. She is currently pursuing certification as a mentor coach to support coaches at every stage of development and promote coaching at a mastery level.

What most inspires her is the evolution of human consciousness. Patricia believes energy is the new edge in coaching—and that coaching is one of the most powerful contributions to this evolution. Her work is grounded in continuous learning and a deep respect for what unfolds in each moment. She continues learning, deepening her ability to bring energy, presence, and mastery into every conversation.
