The Mystery of Mastering Presence: the Signal AI Can’t Decode
Competency 5 – Maintains Presence
In a global environment defined by hyper-productivity and technological automation, Presence has emerged as the critical differentiator that allows a coach to transcend transaction and facilitate true transformation. This webinar explores Competency 5 from a comprehensive perspective, merging modern neurobiology with classical philosophy and PCC/MCC level execution standards.
Drawing from the latest research in neuroscience and understanding different perspectives from what is presence in coaching, we will examine the relationship between the brain’s Default Mode Network (DMN) and Limbic Resonance. Participants will discover how their own regulatory state acts as a biological "wireless" signal of safety for the client. We will dissect the “Mystery of Presence” going through the three domains of receptivity—cognitive, emotional, and somatic—to demonstrate that presence is not just a soft skill, but a trainable physical and mental capacity.

Learning Objectives tied to Core Competencies:
- Neurocognitive Differentiation: Understand the distinction between the Task-Positive Network (TPN) and the Default Mode Network (DMN) to shift from "problem-solver" mode to "transformational partner."
- Somatic Mastery: Practice physical grounding through the three axes (vertical, horizontal, and sagittal) to develop stability during high-pressure coaching sessions.
- PCC Markers Application: Identify and apply the 8 ICF PCC Markers for Competency 5, with a focus on utilizing generative silence and responding to energetic shifts.
- The Human Advantage: Explore why human presence is the competitive "moat" that AI cannot replicate, strengthening the coach’s professional identity in a tech-driven market.
Methodology:
The session alternates between high-level conceptual frameworks and practical application, including somatic centering exercises, practice in splitted rooms, audit of real-world coaching markers, and a Q&A session tailored for experienced practitioners.
Target Audience:
Experienced coaches looking to elevate their mastery, candidates for PCC/MCC credentials, and practitioners interested in the neurobiology of the "Being" of the coach.
