A Year in Perspective

I took the time today to go over 365 days of ICF South Florida Chapter. I wish I could describe the sense of pride and compassion I felt. What an interesting perspective! I went through our calendar of events and memorable posts. Here are a few to share:

We had two live coach-a-lattes in January and a live (YES LIVE) event in February with the President of ICF Global, Magda Mook.

We intercepted COVID with 36 virtual connects including free flow conversations, meditations, prayer circles, coaching moments, coaching tools, Master Minds, Resilience conversations and a one of a kind Summer celebration.

We joined SE Region to offer amazing webinars with over 200 participants on average. We also supported townhalls about racial equity and our responsibility as coaches in driving social progress forward.

We represented the coaching community in September with our InviteChange sponsorship. We spoke at the Be.Choose.Cause Conference. The goal of the conference was to bring into awareness the importance of racial equity, climate emergency, human trafficking and healthy communities.
Our chapter received global recognition through ICF in October. This annual recognition by Global identifies local chapters that go above and beyond to promote the message of professional coaching. We made the list!

We created 3 Special Interest Group in 2020 – a book club, a business development and PCC Markers. All new concepts driven by an incredible group of volunteers.

We also hosted our very first corporate event in 2020! What a turnout!

What else? We made new friends. We sparked new conversations. We coached. We reflected. We learned through pains and gains. We grew through giving and through learning.

We loved will all our might. We prayed for better days. We became closer to our families. We built empathy for a new global reality. We survived one of a kind presidential race. We did it!
