Hello fellow members of ICF South Florida,
In 2025, we’re ushering in a new era of connection and engagement with the launch of a fully functioning Office of Communications and Marketing! Our chapter president, Valeska Martins, has asked me to lead this initiative to expand our reach and enhance how we communicate with and support our members. This means delivering more value to you—more often—and creating a stronger sense of belonging, collaboration, and community within our chapter.
The Office of Communications and Marketing is actively working with committee leaders to help them identify and develop their own communication strategies, always asking, “How can we better serve our membership?” But this is more than just about sharing information—it’s about building deeper connections among coaches, fostering dialogue, and creating more opportunities for meaningful engagement.
To that end, two key things:
- Stay tuned for exciting changes. This newsletter is evolving to become more relevant and helpful each month. Committees may also start sharing their own updates, events, and initiatives, giving you more ways to connect and engage with what’s happening in our chapter. As members, you’re encouraged to share your ideas and insights—your voice matters in shaping how we communicate and grow together.
- We need volunteers! The Office of Communications and Marketing is looking for passionate members who want to help strengthen our chapter’s sense of community through content marketing, corporate communications, storytelling, public relations, newsletters, and social media. This office is not a publisher—it’s an enabler, helping others share their stories and connect in meaningful ways. As a volunteer, you’ll play a key role in this transformation while gaining valuable hands-on experience in developing and guiding communications for the chapter.
At its core, coaching is about connection—and our chapter’s communications should reflect that. Whether you’re reading this newsletter, sharing ideas with a committee, or stepping up as a volunteer, you are part of something bigger: a thriving, engaged coaching community.
If you're interested in getting involved or have ideas to share, we’d love to hear from you!
Looking forward to a year of stronger connections,
Eric Goeres, PCC
