The Art and The Science of Influence: Enabling Others to Change With or Without Authority
External Event Featuring President Elect Dr. Loubna Noureddin

In the arena of Talent Development, our ability to influence others is a crucial catalyst while developing, coaching, and training people.  Ability to influence others can also be our own career promoter or derailer. Titles do not have enough leverage to enable people to change their behaviors. Nor is a prestigious title needed to be recognized as an influencer.

So how do we position ourselves as influencers in today’s T&D world? How do we become known as champions of change? How do we motivate others to support our projects and adopt our ideas? What skills do we need to be considered a go-to person that others seek for advice? In this session, Dr. Noureddin will share the latest research about the influence and discuss the five fundamental steps to become an influencer.

Join us to explore how we can motivate others and empower them to change. Consider that the ability to influence might as well be one of the most important skills you can apply not only in Talent Development, but in life in general.

Session objectives:

    • Define the meaning of influence in our professional and personal lives.
    • Identify the relationship between meaningful connections and influencing.
    • Understand the five key behaviors needed to become an influencer.
    • Design specific steps to create more influence in the arena of Talent Development.
