Get a G.R.I.P. before having challenging conversations!
Shani Magosky
This is an unquestionably difficult time in the world and workplace, and you are undoubtedly having challenging conversations and/or supporting leaders in your organization who are. Folks, ChatGPT can NOT help you with this! Whether the discussions are internal ones about layoffs, returning to the office, or disappointing compensation or external ones such as price increases or terminating a vendor relationship, high stakes and people’s livelihoods are often involved. Shani Magosky, a sought-after leadership development consultant, executive coach, author, and podcast host will share her practical and effective “Get a G.R.I.P.” approach to preparing and conducting these high stakes conversations. While such chats are never easy, the G.R.I.P. method will give you the best chance of boosting your confidence and the other person feeling seen and heard despite tough circumstances. You’ll also have a chance to practice a difficult conversation you currently need to have.

Shani Magosky
Beginning her career at Chase Manhattan Bank in their esteemed Management Development Program, Shani left
to join Goldman Sachs, where she worked for over a decade in New York and Chicago analyzing, executing, and marketing deals for a wide variety of companies globally. After leaving Wall Street, Shani was the first General Manager of media startup Plum TV in Vail, CO, where she was challenged to outdistance an entrenched competitor. The station was a finalist for the Best Emerging Business Award by the Vail Chamber & Tourism Bureau in its first full year in business. Her next role was five years as COO/CFO of an entirely virtual international marketing firm. The expertise Shani developed managing that highly distributed workforce is greatly sought after
by those leading flexible, virtual, and multi-generational teams. In addition, Shani is an adjunct instructor of Culture and People for the grant-sponsored Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program as well as a Guide for Chief, a private membership network focused on connecting and supporting executive-level female leaders. She is also the author of The Better Boss Blueprint and host of The LeaderShifter Show podcast.
