QPR Suicide Prevention

QPR is a 60–90 minute lifesaving, evidenced-based, suicide prevention intervention training. During this training participants learn statistics, myths, and warning signs of suicide, as well as how to talk to someone who may be experiencing a suicidal crisis, persuade them to get help, and refer them to get help.


About the Speaker: Rev. Lisa LeSueur

Rev. Lisa LeSueur is the Suicide Prevention Coordinator for NAMI Miami-Dade; she also serves as the Pastor of Congregational and Staff Care at Coral Gables Congregational United Church of Christ, where she oversees their Mental Health Ministry. Lisa earned her Master of Public Administration at Florida International University and worked in management for the Miami-Dade County Clerk of Courts. In 2019, she earned her Master of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary and was ordained by the United Church of Christ. She is a certified Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Instructor.
