Being Mindful
Monday - Friday, May 8-9,11-12 at 9:00am and May 10 at 8:30am
In guided mindfulness practices, I invite participants to set aside expectations and make space for experiencing their present moment in their full body and without judgment – coming in with an open heart and observing awareness of one’s present experiences in the mental, physical, emotional and/or spiritual bodies. I may offer guided mindfulness practices whilst sitting, standing, walking or lying down with a focus on allowing what is there, comes up or distracts us.
The practice includes being in the present moment and coming back to the present moment when the mind will wander to the past or future. I follow the belief that mindfulness is not something to learn or acquire – but rather, is already within our humanity and the learnings and practices are to engage our mind in making space for this awareness. Scientific research has shown that mindfulness practice may act as a tool, that when practiced, may result in improved self-esteem, life-lust, ability to relax and stress/pain management.
